Let It Go Friday!

Happy Friday! Enjoy A Safe & Long Weekend!

I am so happy that it is finally Friday and we have a long weekend to look forward to! This truly has been a long week and a three day weekend is what I need to recuperate. Do y’all have any plans for the long weekend? I know y’all will be surprised to know that I do not have any plans at all. I mean, I will probably clean the house, organize some random things that seem like a cluttered mess, finish the two posts I started, read more in my James Patterson’s book, and place an order for groceries to be delivered. I know it doesn’t sound exciting, but it will be safe and peaceful!

Now that we are preparing for a long weekend, it is crucial to continue to remain safe and practice all the advice we have been given…

  1. I am so glad to have the three day weekend! I love my job very much, but I also love staying up late, sleeping in, and just hanging out at home. My granddaughter was sent home from school Friday, her whole volleyball team was exposed to COVID-19. Her mom (my daughter) works in a nursing home, and will not be allowed to work now, for 10 days. In addition, all of her patients will have to be tested. My granddaughter was having symptoms, so she was tested yesterday- waiting for results. I seem to be doing most of my teaching remotely these days. I seem to stay more focused remotely- this is turning out to be a good thing!

    1. This is so horrible your family is going through this. I am sorry, but if the government acted in a way that was for the American people, school would not be open at this time. I know children need to be around their friends, but I stand by my belief that remote learning is the way things should and need to be. I hope your granddaughter’s results come back negative. Please continue doing what you are and stay safe!!

      1. I totally agree about schools! Our schools were not ready, and should have delayed until they had what was needed for remote learning! They used cares act funds to get devices for all students, but they have not come in yet. It is really hard on kids to start and then be remote for two weeks here and there. It is hard on teachers to be stretched between remote and in person students.

        1. I am so sorry for what y’all are dealing with. I do wish things were planned better and that would have started at the top. You know that leader that does not care. I hope things get better very soon and you continue to stay safe!
