“There is a fullness and calmness there which can come only from knowing pain.”  ― Dan Simmons, Hyperion

    • Hyperion is the Titan of light, power, and the Titan Lord of the East. He is one of the most powerful Titans and one of Kronos’ most loyal followers. Hyperion is the father of Eos, Goddess of dawn, Helios, God of the sun, and Selene, Goddess of the moon by Theia, the Titaness of sight and enlightenment.

  1. Hi there! Soooooo…on your page, there’s a lot going on and I can’t pin down your blog in a sentence (I’m writing a blog post about the SBH contributors). Do you mind either posting a 1-2 sentence nutshell here or emailing me? adoption.equals@gmail.com
Thanks! Looking forward to the read—your page looks incredibly interesting. Can’t wait to sit down to it!

    1. Oh my….write a couple of sentences. I’ll have to chop it down. Let me think of what is most important. My sites are hosed up so let get back to you on which blog name I am this week. 🙂
Sounds like you would also like me to send my entire About info, no problem. I’ll email.
When you’re 52 with my background, there’s plenty to write. I actually shortened it over the weekend. .

    1. Hi Deb! Yes, I was just discussing the next update. I should have it out soon…I hope 🙂 I have those grand daughter pictures we did together to upload too. I’ll do that first 🙂 You inspired us. I showed my daughter and granddaughter your art and they are motivated to try too!

  2. It’s great to find you again Dan & I’m sure I will enjoy your writing as much as I always have BUT I’m truly gutted Willy has gone, I never got to the end of your darkness and light story re Sonia & Sophie:( I left off at the point you met Sophie again. I feel quite sad that I never got to read to the end and find out what became of you all. Well I know you are ok because you are here, but what happened to the sisters? I genuinely felt such emotion reading your story. Has it gone from being online completely? That is such a shame if it has because it was one of the most profound pieces of writing I have ever read. I kinda feel like the waiter came and took my meal before it was finished and it was one of the best meals I had ever eaten and I really wanted to finish it lol.

So looking forward to reading your new blog Dan. God bless Su x

    1. Su, I am very sorry you didn’t get to finish the story. I have the whole story, minus the graphics saved in a single file. I am slowly editing it to make an Ebook from it. I took the website down because I didn’t have enough time to manage a website alone and so my poor readers were left with little to follow *sigh* I stopped at a logical point but had planned to tell the after story too. This website is my after story of Willy Nilly. Willy Nilly was about the darkness and my writing here is about the light. If you want the unedited file, let me know and I will send it to you to read. Blessings and hugs to you all along the way in you journey.

  3. Beautiful introduction. I’m so glad you let me know you were here. Cheers and kudos from multiple directions to your “standing in the light.” As with most of us, there is more than one “me.” Why limit yourself to one style of writing when your talent allows you to progress far beyond that? I’m delighted to know there are other layers of your writing yet to be revealed. Looking forward to the journey. Hugs!

    1. Thank you, Teagan! Many HUGS in return for your support and inspiration. I find many people have more than one talent and many interests. There is much light to share and I’ve always liked to push my boundaries. Before, I wrote of the past, how I got here. Now it’s time to look ahead. I hope to see you again soon. I’ll be sitting on the curb with Pip and Cracker waiting for Daisy and Granny to swing by.

        1. Yes, I’ll miss Willy Nilly but his story was done and I wanted to change focus and style a little. Time for the standing in the light part now 🙂 I do enjoy visiting, Always an uplifting day when you have something new for us. I do hope hope you and your wonderful family have a great weekend too and if you see a wee dragon romping around, say hi to Willy for me 🙂

          1. I applaud your courage to take a new direction. My humble opinion is that it is sometimes necessary to reprogramme, evolve and change inorder to survive. It is with deep sadness that many worthy people became obsolete as it is truly hard to change one’s lifetime habits and style. Looking forward to your “standing in the light” new style, D. To say that I read many books since @ an early age would be an understatement, please accept my humble opinion that your usage of the written words is truly elegant. So D, changing can only honed your writing skills. 😀 and many thanks for your comments.

            1. I am truly honored and inspired by your comment, K 🙂 You are so right about needing to recognize when it’s time to evolve. There is no better critique for a writer than a learned reader and your support means a great deal to me. Kindest regards, as there is more to come as we explore our world 🙂
