Motivational Monday

Fightmsdaily

~Let’s Start This Week With A HUGE Smile~

Happy Monday y’all! I hope you had a nice and safe weekend. My weekend did not go exactly the way I had planned because I did want to complete a post I started about Multiple Sclerosis but honestly did not have the energy needed. I think I might have been a little overly exhausted from the week and did not want to halfway write a post, especially one so meaningful to me. What I will say is, I will finish this post early this week and will not rush through it because I want to provide you with the best information I possibly can. It is amazing how one week can take so much out of us.

I was pretty stressed about a power issue we have in our house. Last week, on Thursday, the power in our basement only stopped working…

Tranquil Tuesday

Fightmsdaily

Happy Tuesday y’all! We have already made it through one day this week and only have a few more to go before the weekend is here again. How has your week been so far? I had to go to a typically follow up appointment yesterday with my pain doctor. I really like the Nurse Practitioner because she is so kind and listens to me when I tell her the way I am feeling. I do not know about you, but I tend to like the NP better than the doctor because they take their time and are better with patient care. The appointment went well and I do not have to go back for three months!

We are all living in troubling times where there are so many hateful feelings and unfair treatment around the globe. It is not easy to deal with, but we do have to find a…

Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Month

Fightmsdaily

As you read this post, please be advised that I am not a medical professional. The information in this post is based on the research I have done since being diagnosed with this disease 20 years ago. The one thing about this disease that is important to understand is, it is extremely unpredictable and everyone, no matter what type of MS they have experiences it different. It does not matter if two people have the same type of MS, everyone experiences and deals with it differently.

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune disease that means that the body’s immune system attacks its tissues. This is a very unpredictable disease, and everyone experiences it differently. In this post, I am going to explain the four different types of MS and the distinctive characteristics of each type.

Radiologically Isolated Syndrome (RIS), is not considered part of the MS path, but has…

Pick Me Up Thursday

Fightmsdaily

~It Is Finally Friday Eve~

How has your week been so far? My week has been an emotional roller-coaster. I told you earlier in the week that our older cat, Chloe, had been diagnosed with early-stage kidney failure a few years ago and seemed to not be doing so well in the past few days. Initially, her doctor’s appointment was scheduled for today, but on Tuesday night I noticed what looked to be blood in the litter box, so I called the vet frantic and requested her an earlier appointment. My husband and I took her to the vet yesterday morning to have her checked out. They drew blood, sent the blood for testing, and gave her fluids, and sent her home with us. I am supposed to hear from the doctor today before noon and if I do not, believe me, I will call them! The one thing the…

My COVID Vaccine Experience

Fightmsdaily

~To Get The Vaccine OR To Not Get The Vaccine~

On Saturday morning, with an incredibly special thank you to my wonderful husband, I was finally able to get the COVID vaccine. If I had waited for either my specialist or the governor of the state, I live in to get this vaccine, I am sure I would have been waiting until at least summer. I do understand the need for front line workers and elderly individuals to be among the first to get the vaccine. However, I also think people with a weak immune system should be able to get the vaccine as well. Truthfully, it is not just because I have a weak immune system but those with a weak immune system can become deathly ill with this virus. I guess in a sense it is a blessing this vaccine was created so quickly, but it is also…

We Are In This Together

Fightmsdaily

~Together We Can Make A Difference~

We have all been going through the same struggles and fears since the beginning of 2020. We have probably all been staying home and avoiding any contact with others outside of our home because of COVID-19. Is it just me or does it feel like we are all on house arrest? I sometimes think that actual house arrest offers more freedom than we have seen over the last several LONG months. Truthfully, it has been a lot more than just several months and more like a year! There is a chance I am wrong, but I think if things were handled differently at the beginning of the pandemic, we would not still be experiencing the hardships and isolation we are today. I am pretty sure I have said this a million times before, but the Trump administration this took place under failed miserably.

I…

Tranquil Tuesday

Fightmsdaily

~Find Peace Within Each Day~

Happy Tuesday y’all! I hope 2021 is starting off well for you and you are enjoying the year so far! In previous years, my first day back to work after the new year I always had a hard time remembering the year change, but am finding it very easy to remember now. I guess it is because I was very ready to end 2020! I will admit to y’all, my first day back to work after the long weekend was not all that great, but I am not going to allow that to get me down and will keep pushing forward! It can be easy to let a bad day get you down in the dumps, but that does not solve anything!

We have just made it through one day of the first workweek in 2021! Even though this does leave us four…

Pick Me Up Thursday

Fightmsdaily

~Don’t Look At Today As Thursday, It’s Friday Eve~

Smile and know this, we have almost made it through the week! The weekend is so close now, you can almost smell the relaxation it holds for us! Some days feel like they will never end because they were so busy, but no matter how insane the day felt, that day will eventually end, and something good will come out of it.

Normally, Monday is the day everyone says was not all that great, but for me yesterday almost felt like a bad Monday on steroids! It just seemed like everyone was demanding something I could not do and no one cared if it what they wanted was possible or not. Considering we do one final day of the week to get through, I thought we could use a little pick me up! I hope the quote I am sharing will…

~Let It Go Friday~

Fightmsdaily

~The Week Is Finally Over & We Can Enjoy The Weekend!~

Happy Friday and all I can say is I am SO glad the week is over and the weekend is finally here! For some reason this week has been excruciatingly long and painful. I do like when my days are busy at work, but working almost 40 hours in 4 days is insane! I don’t know about y’all, but I am looking forward to the weekend with hopefully NO more political chaos and lunatic behaviors.

Now that we have almost made it to the weekend, we must learn how to let go of the craziness the week brought us. There is absolutely no need to ruin the short weekend with our work-week business! These next two short days must be spent doing what brings us the most happiness and peace because they do fly by so fast. This means…

~July COVID-19 Information~

Fightmsdaily

~The Truth About COVID-19~

I have honestly debated with myself for the past week if I should or shouldn’t write this because I want to steer clear of negativity as much as I possibly can. I must have started and stopped writing this at least 15 times, but I do feel this information is crucial and really needs to be shared as much as possible for the safety of human lives. There have already been so many people that lost their lives because of this virus and things urgently need to change.

My husband is a wonderful man and has always been very supportive of my writing and dreams of doing more with it. For the first time when I explained to him earlier in the week what I was planning to write about he actually deterred me from writing anything negative about the president. Let me clarify this…

Wednesday’s Random Thoughts

Fightmsdaily

My Random Thoughts

Happy Wednesday y’all. I hope you are having a great week, you are feeling well, and of course, you are staying safe. I keep telling myself to stop obsessing about new COVID-19 cases in the city I live in, but yet I continue monitoring the massive increases daily. It doesn’t make any sense why I keep doing this because all it does is upset me and keep me stressed. I do not leave the house most days unless it is necessary and when I do, I always wear my mask inside places like the grocery store. It blows my mind how many people do not wear a mask and hardly ever respect social distancing. I am not sure which irritates me more, the carelessness of not wearing a mask, or the complete lack of awareness for social distancing. I was thrilled to hear the city I live…

Why You Should Never Stop Fighting

Mental Health: When the Narcissist is Normalized — Art by Rob Goldstein

In this post I use ‘we’ instead of ‘I’ because my subjective experience is that of multiple separate people. The children of pathological narcissists must blind themselves to behaviors that healthy people consider unspeakable. Food deprivation, the killing of pets, theft, forced sex, gaslighting and other forms of psychological abuse and the threat of psychological […]

Guilty of Being Sick: Mentally Ill behind bars — Art by Rob Goldstein

The U.S. mental health system treats all mental illness as short-term, easy to solve problems of ‘behavior’. Most mental health coverage in the U.S. rules out long-term hospital stays, as well as long-term psychotherapy. For profit psychiatry took the treatment protocols for substance abuse disorders and decided to use them for everyone, regardless of diagnosis. […]

Antibiotics, Lyme and Candida — Guest Blogger Pride IN Justice

Yeast overgrowth is a common concern for Lyme patients who undergo long-term antibiotic therapy and certain herbal antimicrobial treatments. Or in my case any type of treatment with antibiotics, even if for a short time only. Several antibiotics pose a great risk of destroying intestinal health, allowing yeast to flourish. One such yeast is Candida. […]
